Rewards

Everything ROR gives out is won by playing. Nothing here can be bought, and nothing you buy turns into it.

From coin tournaments

Cosmetics, in-game items, profile decoration and standing on the board. These have no monetary value, cannot be sold or transferred between accounts, and cannot be converted into money.

From sponsored tournaments

Prizes funded by a sponsor, as described in that tournament's official rules. These carry real-world value, which is why those tournaments run only in the countries where we offer them and only to entrants aged 18 and over.

The wall between coins and prizes

This matters enough to state plainly, because it is the rule the whole system is built on:

  • Coins are bought. They pay for cosmetics, convenience items, and entry to coin tournaments, which award cosmetics only.
  • Coins never buy entry to a tournament that awards a prize of real-world value, and never buy an advantage in one.
  • Coins never convert into money, into a prize, or into anything with real-world value, in either direction.
  • Sponsored tournaments are free to enter. Nothing you spend in ROR affects whether you can enter one or how you place in it.

What you can win, and where to see it

The current list of cosmetics and items lives in the app and is kept up to date there. Every item shows exactly what it costs before you confirm. Prizes for a sponsored tournament are named in that tournament's official rules, published before entries open.

Tax on prizes. Under section 156 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, tax may be required to be deducted at source on prizes given by companies, including on the fair market value of a non-cash prize. Where that applies to you, the amount is shown before you accept the prize. You remain responsible for your own tax position, and we cannot give you tax advice.

Not an income. Rewards are a bonus on top of playing a game. We make no claims about what anyone can earn, and ROR should not be treated as a way to make money.
